  • HEALTHY HAIR DIYS

There are plenty of ways of keeping your hair in its best possible shape in between salon appointments. When it's so easy why not try some DIY? Below are 3 simple do-it-yourself solutions that are effective and super straight forward!

    THE ALL ROUNDER
An egg mask is probably the easiest at home mask you can do - just one ingredient! Eggs are great for the hair as the fatty yolks moisturise while the egg white acts to remove dirt and oil. Use enough to cover the whole scalp and leave on for 20 minutes. Make sure to use cold water when rinsing - you wouldn't want that egg getting too hot!
    THE DEEP TREATMENT
If you're in need of a deep condition, mix together two parts coconut oil to one part olive oil. If you have any on hand, add a few drops of your favourite essential oil such as peppermint oil. Leave on for at least 30 minutes under a shower cap and once finished shampoo and condition with warm water as normal. Your hair will be extra moisturised and glossy.
    THE CLARIFYING SHAMPOO
If you're in need of a good clarifying shampoo to get rid of excess product build up, salt is the ingredient you are after! Mix one part salt to one part shampoo and you will get your hair extra squeeky clean!

  • SECOND DAY SOLUTION

A messy bun is a great style to try on second day hair. If your hair is freshly washed we recommend a product like Kevin Murphy Hair Resort Spray or Sachajuan Spray Wax to give some added texture and grip to the hair, before letting it air dry.
To achieve this low messy bun separate the hair into two halves, ommitting the front sections of hair. Take your two large sections and tie them into a knot at the nape of your neck. Continue to knot for the length of the hair and when finished, use several bobby pins to secure the knot. Take the front sections previously left out, and knot them under your messy bun, pinning them underneath. If you wish to do so, gently pull at pieces of the knot to loosen it. Finish of the look with hairspray to help keep the hair in place.

  • RUNWAY BEAUTY

There were so many looks we were loving from the recent Spring 2015 fashion shows in New York.
The Michael Kors show gave us major braid envy with their carefree take on a long loose braid.
At Nanette Lepore, models wore a high twisted top knot, keeping it feminine and not overly sleek.
With Donna Karen, we see more braids, this time a more exaggerated, chain style.
Stylists at Coach were looking to the 70s for inspiration, giving a nostalgic feel.
Creatures of the Wind went for the effortless low pony for an undone look.
For Diane von Furstenberg, it was all about the bombshell look with lots of volume.
